Welcome to Serene Therapy - Supporting Your Mental Health Journey.
Anxiety Therapy
Providing a compassionate environment to better understand emotional patterns, identify triggers, and explore the root causes of anxiety. Therapy can help you feel more present and confident in managing life’s challenges. Anxiety disorders are among the most common mental health conditions, affecting millions of adults and teens each year, and can significantly impact daily functioning, relationships, and overall well-being (Anxiety and Depression Association of America (ADAA) – Facts & Statistics).
I have significant experience working with individuals experiencing generalized anxiety, social anxiety, and panic disorder, utilizing evidence-based approaches tailored to each client’s individual needs, including CBT, ACT, mindfulness-based techniques, and exposure therapy. Together, we can work towards building healthier coping skills to manage overwhelming thoughts, reduce panic and overthinking, and regain a sense of control.
Perinatal Mental Health Therapy
Perinatal mental health focuses on supporting the emotional well-being of individuals during pregnancy and the postpartum period, a time with significant physical, emotional, and lifestyle changes. Anxiety, depression, stress, loneliness, and other challenges during this transition are more common than many realize, affecting approximately 1 in 5 mothers and 1 in 10 fathers during pregnancy or within the first year postpartum (Maternal Mental Health Conditions and Statistics and Supporting New Fathers: An Overview of Paternal Mental Health, Statistics, Insights, and Resources).
With a nurturing therapeutic approach, therapy can help you manage difficult emotions, navigate identity and relationship changes, and build confidence throughout the perinatal and postpartum journey. I have advanced training in perinatal mental health through Postpartum Support International, and am in the process of becoming certified.
Life Adjustments and Stress Management
Therapy for life adjustments and stress management provides compassionate support for individuals navigating significant life changes, transitions, and periods of overwhelm. You won’t have to go through life’s setbacks or milestones alone. Together, we work to better understand emotional responses, develop healthier coping strategies, build resilience, and regain a sense of balance and direction in daily life.
Treatment is tailored to each client’s individual needs and may incorporate a variety of therapeutic approaches, including CBT, ACT, person-centered therapy, self-esteem building, mindfulness-based techniques, and strategies focused on resilience and emotional well-being.
ADHD Therapy for Teens & Adults
Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) can impact focus, organization, emotional regulation, motivation, relationships, and daily routines, often leading to feelings of frustration, overwhelm, or self-doubt. An estimated 15.5 million adults and 4 million adolescents (ages 12-17) in the United States have a current ADHD diagnosis, highlighting how common these challenges can be (CHADD – General Prevalence of ADHD in Adults).
Therapy provides supportive and individualized strategies to improve self-esteem, build healthy routines, and develop tools for navigating everyday challenges with greater confidence and balance. You can thrive with ADHD! Often utilizing CBT, and behavior therapy, we can work together to make symptoms more manageable and look at them as strengths.
Emotional Regulation
Emotional regulation therapy helps individuals better understand their emotions, identify triggers, and develop healthier ways to respond to overwhelming feelings and situations. Difficulty regulating emotions can impact relationships, work, self-esteem, and daily functioning, often leading to impulsive reactions, emotional outbursts, anxiety, or feeling out of control.
Through supportive and collaborative therapy, clients learn practical coping skills such as mindfulness, grounding techniques, cognitive strategies, and emotional awareness to manage intense emotions with greater clarity and balance. This approach can help improve coping, strengthen relationships, and foster a greater sense of emotional stability and confidence in daily life.
My experience also includes trauma recovery, grief therapy, bipolar disorders, and substance abuse recovery.
