Welcome!

Hi, I’m Amanda, owner of Serene Therapy and a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW #44SC06370500) in the state of New Jersey. What makes my practice unique is the genuine, supportive relationship I build with each client. I strive to create a space where you can be honest, open, and fully yourself, without judgement or pressure, or the need to have it all figured out. I am passionate about helping individuals feel heard, understood, and empowered throughout their healing journey.

What to Expect

Therapy can feel vulnerable and emotionally heavy at times. You can expect a warm and safe space where we can explore difficult experiences, challenge unhelpful patterns, build on your strengths, and make room for lightness, humor, and relief. My goal is to help you feel more grounded and connected to yourself.

My Approach

My therapeutic style is compassionate, collaborative, and personalized to each individual’s unique needs. Other therapeutic modalities are used on a case by case basis.

Psychodynamic lens

Explore deeper root causes of emotional distress and process past experiences that may continue to impact current thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and relationships.

Strengths-based and Person-centered

Focusing on each client’s resilience, insight, and capacity for growth. I believe healing happens when people feel emotionally safe enough to be genuine and open with themselves. Creating that sense of safety and trust is one of the most important parts of the therapeutic relationship.
